OUTCOME

Reflection

Project 2 is building an interpretive center in an existing site, Valley of Hope, Sungai Buloh. I did not know about this place before this assignment. I felt sad when I know more about Valley of Hope history. Well, this is also what makes a place meaningful and full of historical value. Above is the concept design of the interpretive center. Personally, I would say having an existing site makes designing easier. I think an architecture that is responding to site is far more important than being solely aesthetic only. Understanding a site really sparks a lot of idea in designing an architecture that has more stories to tell and users are able to relate based on their personal experience.
