Neighbourhood Market & Food Court
Project 2 calls for the design of a Neighbourhood Market and Food Court within a suburban neighbourhood of Bangi . We will generate narratives that respond to the environment and community as user group within the given context and explore environmental poetics of building enclosure. We should explore various typologies of cluster spatial organisations and a variety of passive strategies for sustainable design. The design should contribute to and merge harmoniously with environment and site and provide the best of spatial experiences in fostering a sense of community. We are to design a Neighbourhood Market and Food Court as an upgrade to the existing Pasar Awam in Pekan Bangi Lama.

Reflection
This project is quite a tough one for me. To be frank, I am not very satisfied with what I have produced this semester, but it is the extend that I can give. I had tough time in thinking where to place the spaces so that it will be a good design for the community. In the end, I have produced what I can say a simple design. I am not ashamed of it or think that it is not a good design, in fact, it is also something that I want the design to have, simple, modest , not complicated, able to serve its function well to the community. But I have realised there are more ways that I can improve and learn from this project. I have noticed my shortcomings in design and also my attitude.
